Drew pulled off his shirt, why didn't he have anything presentable to wear? Everything he had looked like something you'd use to wash your car with. And it wasn't like he could borrow someone's shirt, because it definetly wouldn't fit. He looked at the clock and began a new search for something that wouldn't look to shabby for Ali. After a few minutes, he looked at the clock again, shit, he was going to be late if he didn't hurry. Resigning himself to the fact that he wasn't going to find anything to impress her with, he quickly pulled on the black t-shirt he had had on in the first place as he raced out the door.

Ali paced the floor of her room. Where were they going? Was she underdressed? Was she overdressed? Why had Drew seemed so upset earlier today? Deciding the last question was the most important, she sat on the end of her bed, biting her nail thoughtfully. They had nearly finished shooting the video, except for Drew's scene, and the only reason that it had been postponed was because Jeff kept screwing up his own scene. Maybe, he was. . . No, what did he have to be jealous of? Yeah, maybe Nick and Jeff had more passionate scenes, but it was just acting. Besides, Drew was just...different from the other guys. She felt comfortable around Jeff, Nick, and Justin, shooting the scenes with them was more of a joking thing. It was Drew that put butterflies in her stomach, it was Drew that she was looking forward to working with, and it was Drew that was occupying more and more of her thoughts. She didn't really understand what made her fall so hard for a man she hardly knew. There was just something between them, and she defiently wasn't going to complain about it. A knock on the door brought her out of her thoughts. Taking a deep breath and giving herself a quick mental peptalk, she opened the door and stepped outside.

"You look beautiful" Drew breathed, looking at her admiringly as she stood in front of him in a simple pale blue tanktop, her hair pulled up into a loose ponytail. Ali blushed furiously, "Thanks. You look great too"
It was Drew's turn to blush, "Thanks...are you ready?" Ali nodded, "Yep, where exactly are we going?" "Um . . . do you like Chili's?" he asked nervously, "And then we can see a movie, like maybe 'Gladiator', if that's ok?" he asked, hoping she wouldn't hate his idea. "Sounds great!" Ali said, meaning it as they walked down the stairs. "Really?" "Of course! And we'll spilt everything, ok?" she said firmly. "But its my treat!" Drew protested. Ali smiled, "Well, at least I'll pay for my share of dinner, ok?" Drew finally nodded, realizing she wasn't going to back down from that stand, "All right. But next time its my treat" he said, using his take-charge voice. Ali almost started jumping up and down right there, next time! she grinned happily, "Ok, I'll agree to that"  Drew held open the door for her, "Good" he said, meaning with all his heart.

              Later that night. . .

Ali sniffed, wiping the tears off her cheeks, as she watched the movie, entranced. Drew wrapped his arm around her shoulder more securely, "Are you all right?" he asked in a whisper. Ali nodded, "I'm ok" she said, accepting the kleenex from Drew. "Ok" he replied, he'd never known anyone who really cried during a movie, but in a way, it was kinda cute. It meant he got to comfort her at any rate. He continued watching her out of the corner of his eye, dividing his time between the screen and the woman sitting next to him. Several kleenexes later, the movie ended and Ali hurriedly wiped her eyes one last time, "I'm sorry, I cried all over you" she apologized, giving him a smile. "Don't mention it, it was a sad movie" he replied, as she slipped her hand into his.  "I forgot to warn you I'm a sap" she teased, "Now you know what you're getting into with me and movies"
