"Drew, I think I'm going to pass out if we
keep practicing this" Ali said, turning her head to look at her husband.
"But Ali, we've got to have this down perfectly"
"I'm not going to forget how to breathe when its time" she laughed.
Drew laughed, "OK, I'm getting tired of this too. We've been practicing this Lamaze
thing for a while, haven't we" he half asked, half stated.
"Enough to make me dizzy"
Drew propped himself up on one elbow as he put his free hand on her very pregnant stomach,
"Are you making mommy do lots of work?" he asked in his "daddy" voice.
Ali smiled, Drew was great about the baby. He loved to sing to the baby, certain he or she
could hear and understand every word he said. In response to Drew's question, the baby
kicked, to Drew's delight.
"She kicks hard!"
"Oh, I know..." Ali smiled, putting her hand over Drew's. "And the baby is
a girl today?" she joked.
"Well, its better safe than sorry. What color are we going to paint the baby's
room?"
"Not blue or pink."
"Right"
"Maybe light green?" Ali asked, wrinking her brow in thought.
"I like it" Drew said, leaning down to kiss her forehead gently.
Ali opened her eyes and looked in to the adoring eyes of her husband, "You're gonna
be such a great dad" she said softly, running her hand through his hair.
"You're gonna be a great mom too. I can't wait for the baby to be born" he said,
tracing a finger down her cheek.
"Two more months..."
Drew grinned, and moved his hand down to her stomach again, "Here that? Two more
months honey!" he said to the baby, "We love you" he added, kissing her
stomach.
