Ali quickly changed into her well-worn one piece.
She hurriedly twisted her long dark hair into a bun, pulling a swim cap over it. If her
publicist could see her now, the thought bringing a slight smile to her face. She hurried
downstairs and outside, pausing only long enough to grab her goggles and a towel. Kicked
open the back door, she dropped the towel onto the deck, pulled her goggles on and dove
cleanly into the water. Surfacing, she immediately fell into an easy rhythm. As she sliced
gracefully through the water, her thoughts turned to the scene in the kitchen only minutes
before.
"Its not like you're pregnant or anything" Drew's words
played through her mind. How on earth did he think she felt? Honestly, she was excited
about the idea, she'd always wanted kids, although this was a little bit soon. But still,
she already loved the baby, and besides, she'd had to quickly adjust to the idea. And so
much for Drew being supportive of it. As her thoughts tumbled in this direction, she had
picked up speed and before she knew it, was sprinting with everything she had.
Drew watched her swim, he'd known she would be out here. Now the only
problem was getting her attention, Ali could be as stubborn as he was. Honestly, the more
he thought about it, the more he liked the idea. It was scary, but he was looking forward
to the challenege. Now all he had to do was talk to Ali.
